The seniors hosted Naomh Éanna from An Ómaigh (Omagh) last night in Sraith Ard Mhacha (the Armagh league).
The game started off with Omagh attacks leading to a couple of great sábhálacha (saves) from Neil Corey in nets, one from the penalty spot. Omagh hit a couple of points before Conor Carabine opened an scóráil (the scoring) for foireann an bhaile (the home team). Sean Treacys put on the pressure and two goals from Caolán Maher and Anthony Carville were backed up by a converted free from Carville and another effort from Carabine. Omagh didn’t panic however and settled down with 0-5 i ndiaidh a chéile (in succession). Adam Lennon and Anthony Carville added a couple more but An Ómaigh went on a scoring spree including a couple of goals to give them the advantage. A couple more scores from Sean Treacys give them some dóchas (hope) for the second half but a third goal just before the short whistle left a big ask.

Omagh opened the scoring in the dara leath (second half), but the home side grabbed another cúl (goal) with Adam Lennon finishing to the net. Tam McKavanagh followed up with another point to reduce the deficit, with further efforts from Carville and a good score from Barry McDonald leaving ocht gcúilín (eight points) in it. Omagh added a couple more points but a fourth major midway through the half killed off any chance of a comeback and the cuairteoirí (visitors) sealed their dominance as the game finished out with a fifth goal and a string of points to run out comfortable buaiteoirí (winners) on the night.
