Thanks as always to Seán for paying attention to last night's proceedings!

The senior hurlers continued their league campaign aréir (last night) with an away fixture to Cumann Chú Chulainn from Ard Mhacha and came away with a good win.
The freasúra (opponents) hit the opening point before Sean Treacys opened their acoount with a cúl (goal) which was finished off by Adam Lennon. The goal was followed up by a couple of points, but the hosts hit four in a row to level affairs before the well-needed sos uisce (water break). Anthony Carville converted a free before Cúchulainns hit the lead with three further points. However, Treacys held their composure and Carville sent a free straight to the eangach (net) to regain the lámh in uachtair (upper hand) for the visitors and this was followed up by another three points. The Armagh side converted three more points, but Anthony Carville got his second goal just before leath ama (half time) with another effort from a free.
Seán Treacys kept up the pressure in the second half with early scores from Carville. Caolán Maher hit the net for the Treacys' fourth goal. Patrick Kane got a good point from play and finished a brilliant move from the visitors for cúl uimhir a cúig (goal number five). The Sean Treacys' cosaint (defence) stood resolute, but when they were finally breached, our stand-in cúl báire (goalkeeper) Neil Corey pulled off a great save before the second water break. The pressure from Cúchulainn's forward line finally paid off with a cúl (goal) midway through the half. Ryan Stewart entered the fray and reeled off three consecutive cúilíní (points). Reece Magee got our sixth goal of the evening and it was point for point to the end, with Carville firing over the Sean Treacys efforts.

Míle buíochas (Thank you) to Cú Chulainn's for the game and to the réiteoir (referee) Paul Boylan. Best wishes to Adam Lennon for a quick recovery after he picked up a gortú (injury). The seniors are on the road again an tseachtain seo chugainn (next week) with an away fixture to Craobh Rua in Camloch.
