Thankfully, we had Seán on reporting duty for tonight's match.

It was a tough evening for our senior hurlers as they hosted Lámh Dhearg from An Céide (Keady) in the McCormack Cup this evening at Tannaghmore Gardens.

Missing a number of imreorí (players) through injury, the Seán Ó Treasaigh side struggled to match the intensity of Keady but battled hard to the very end. The cuairteoirí (visitors) racked up a huge score of 3-31 over the game. Anthony Carville was again top scorer for the hosts with 0-3 in each leath (half), four coming from frees. Patrick Kane got a point in the first half and Seán Treacy’s cúl (goal) was finished well by Rhys Sloan after the sliotar rebounded off the cuaille (post).

The Keady game wraps up our McCormack Cup feachtas (campaign) and the focus of our foireann sinsear (senior team) now turns to the Ulster Junior League cluiche ceathrú ceannais (quarter final game) against Knocks Grattans from Fear Manach (Fermanagh). The tie will take place this Sunday at 12.15 at Gairdíní na Tamhnaí Móire (Tannaghmore Gardens).
